BAD FAN FICTION

Bad Fan Fiction is a collection of original fan fiction stories with ridiculous premises, amateurish prose, and needlessly specific references to minuscule aspects of the IP off which they're based. We’ve written every story to make you laugh, shake your head, and whisper "my god" in earnest. There are also pictures, because you're never too old for pictures.

This is the perfect book to throw on your coffee table for guests, slip in the bathroom for when your phone’s charging, or read aloud for your friends to laugh and jeer at. Truly a book for all seasons.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Bad Fan Fiction is now available to purchase online! It’s the perfect gift for that person who always says “I don’t know” when you ask what they want.

What’s inside

What hijinks could Sonic the 7th-year Slytherin get into?

Within these 204 pages of premium recycled paper live 39 short stories covering a wide variety of fandoms. Maybe you're into Harry Potter, or maybe you're into The Sims 2 for PC, or maybe you're into 90s nu metal-turned-alt pop band Sugar Ray. We have something for everyone!

Now to discuss the elephant in the room: Fan fiction has a reputation for being not only bad, but also very very very very sexual and disgusting. But not to worry, because Bad Fan Fiction comes with the Smut-Free Guarantee. The fics included are all safe for work and most children. You can give our book to anyone you know and it won't be awkward, as long as that person can handle some PG language and characters who are really good at kissing and also have cat eyes.

Meet the authors

Jess Morse

Jess is a comedian because as a child she realized that making her sister laugh yielded a higher probability of not getting sat on that day. She graduated from Emerson College at age 20 (brag) with a degree in Writing for Film and Television. She has written and produced over a dozen live comedy shows and her very own sketch comedy album, Bird Sweater, Apple Socks. She likes writing because it gives you more time to think than talking, but she still performs improv and stand-up comedy because it’s good to be able to do more than one thing. Peer into her subconscious by following her on Twitter (@chessmorse).

Melissa Sahagian

Melissa is a television screenwriter with a focus on comedy and animation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Writing for Film and Television from Emerson College in 2016. While at Emerson, Melissa wrote and performed sketch comedy as well as wrote, directed, and executive produced a short film. The film, Balloontourage: The Making of a Masterpiece, earned Melissa a 2017 EVVY nomination for Outstanding Writing for Film. Melissa is based in Los Angeles and continues to pursue comedy as an improv student at the Upright Citizens Brigade. You can check out her work at melissasahagian.com.

Christina Catucci

Christina is a comedy writer and performer who sometimes draws okay. She is not fishing for compliments, just being real. She graduated Emerson College in 2016 with a degree in Writing for Film and Television. Her past credits include story art at DreamWorks Feature and story revisions at DreamWorks TV. Her other talents include eating an entire lemon without grimacing and consuming dairy directly against her doctor’s orders. To follow this train wreck online, please refer to her Instagram (@christinacatucci) and her Twitter (@Catuchee). All commissions can be directed to christinacatucci@gmail.com.

Will Taylor

Will is a comedian working in Los Angeles, CA. He has a degree in Writing for Film and Television from Emerson College and a face you want to ask for directions from. He once asked his roommates to help him look for his sunglasses for twenty minutes, only to realize that they were inside his knit hat the whole time. Follow him on Twitter (@mellamowill) or Instagram (@mellamowilltaylor) for upcoming performances, artwork and unfiltered thoughts that will surely, in the future, inhibit his meteoric rise to global political dominance.

Amos Stillwell

Amos loves drawing funny faces and cracking riffs. He’s from Bean City, MA and grew up on a steady dose of TV and ‘80s radio hits. He graduated from Emerson College with a FILM degree unlike the rest of these doinks. He decided to move to LA because he hates breathable air and public transportation. He hopes to one day make a good tuna casserole for his sick pop. He can and will draw unsolicited fan art of his friends. Follow him on Instagram for more kooktacular drawings (@amosstamos).
